How It Works

I strive to provide quality proofreading and copyediting services for fair and affordable rates, and my prices are in line with market rates as quoted by the Editorial Freelancers Association. If you’re unsure of whether you need a proofread or a copyedit, please feel free to get in touch with me so we can figure out the best option for your project!

Proofreading

$0.005 per word

For a basic proofread, I charge half a penny per word. If your project has already undergone an aggressive copyedit and is in need of a final, fresh set of eyes, this is the perfect option for you.

Copyediting

$0.01 per word

For a light to moderate copyedit, I charge one penny per word. This is a great option if your project has already been through developmental and line edits but is in need of more than just a surface check for grammar and spelling.

Sample Edit & Complimentary Revision

Hiring an editor is a big deal, and you should be completely comfortable with the editor you choose. So before you hire me, be sure I’m the right fit for you. If you are a first-time client, I will provide a sample edit, free of charge. Please contact me for details.

I also provide one complimentary revision per project. After I’ve edited your project and sent it back to you for your review, please look over my work and implement changes. Send it back to me, and I’ll proofread it over a final time to make sure your project is flawless.
